On Monday, May 7th, 2022, during the ceremony commemorating International Workers’ Day held at the conference hall of the Shokri Industrial Complex, the head of the sugar factories group stated that the country is facing tough economic conditions, but what makes the situation even harder is the performance and decisions of some officials and ministries.
Jahanbakhsh Shokri stated that despite favorable global conditions for expanding Iran’s steel exports, suddenly unprecedented tariffs on exports have emerged. He mentioned that such decisions deprive the country’s steel factories of a golden opportunity to export to large markets. Mr.Shokri criticized another misguided decision, the removal of customs exemptions on the import of production line machinery, stating that these machines are essential for launching production units as they do not have domestic equivalents. He emphasized that such decisions disrupt and hinder the development of production processes.
Shokri, expressing continual appreciation for the hardworking and skilled workers of the group, stated that despite all challenges, the Shokri Group has never resorted to downsizing its workforce and has consistently endeavored to employ even more young people.
Regarding the naming of the year 1401, he highlighted that one of the most successful knowledge-based companies in the country operates under the Shokri Group, where through the dedication of its specialized workforce, they have managed to localize many complex industrial machines.
Shokri Industrial Group’s participation in the research and technology exhibition in Kermanshah Province demonstrates their commitment to advancing technology and fostering local industries.
