More than 15 innovative proposals were presented during the event, with three projects selected for commercial feasibility assessment.

The second startup event, entitled “Restoration, Repair, and Recycling of Continuous Steel Casting Molds (Copper Molds)”, was held on September 15, 2024, at the conference hall of the Jahan Foulad Gharb University of Applied Science and Technology
The event was attended by the Chief Executive Officer, the President of the University Center, company personnel, innovators and idea owners, and the Research Director of the Provincial University of Applied Science and Technology
The event focused on presenting solutions for the restoration and recycling of continuous casting molds (copper molds) through surface coating technologies, powder metallurgy, and other related methods
More than 10 proposals were presented during the event, with three selected as the winning projects
The event was sponsored by Bisotoun Steel, which offered the selected innovators technical and specialized consulting services as well as the opportunity to enter into contracts for the development of prototype products.
