In preparation for the upcoming Arbaeen pilgrimage, a coordination meeting was held on July 11 to organize a joint Arbaeen service camp (Mawkib) involving the University of Applied Science and Technology centers across Kermanshah Province. The meeting brought together representatives from the University’s regional centers, cultural affairs officials, and provincial authorities to coordinate plans for the initiative.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Haydari, Acting Director of the Jahan Foulad Gharb University of Applied Science and Technology; Dr. Fazelizad, Acting Director of the University of Applied Science and Technology Center for Culture and Arts; representatives from the University of Applied Science and Technology centers affiliated with the Law Enforcement Organization, the Industrial Management Institute, and the Iranian Red Crescent Society; mr Asadi, Representative of the Supreme Leader; officials from the Provincial Unit of the University of Applied Science and Technology; the Secretary of the Cultural and Arts Center; the Faculty Advisor to the Scientific Associations of the Law Enforcement University Center; the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Cultural Centers; and representatives of the Student Basij Organization.
During the meeting, participants finalized the planning for establishing a joint Arbaeen service camp (Mawkib) that will operate from July 30 to August 3. A comprehensive list of the required supplies and equipment was also prepared.
It was agreed that a portion of the project’s expenses would be funded by the Provincial Unit of the University of Applied Science and Technology, while the remaining costs would be shared equally among the participating University of Applied Science and Technology centers.
To enhance coordination and ensure the effective implementation of the initiative, specialized committees were established for security, logistics, and communications and public relations. Under the agreed allocation of responsibilities, the Jahan Foulad Gharb University of Applied Science and Technology will assist in providing security personnel to support the successful execution of this cultural and religious event.
Among the other resolutions adopted during the meeting was the design and publication of a student volunteer recruitment poster by the Provincial Unit of the University of Applied Science and Technology. The announcement will be distributed to the University’s centers across the province, inviting interested students to participate in the Arbaeen service camp (Mawkib) and apply their skills, professional expertise, and capabilities in serving pilgrims during the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
The meeting marked an important step toward strengthening collaboration among the University of Applied Science and Technology centers across Kermanshah Province while leveraging the capabilities of students, faculty members, and staff to contribute to one of the largest cultural and religious gatherings in the Islamic world. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to community engagement, volunteerism, and meaningful service during the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
