The unveiling ceremony of the IPN (sloping flange thin-walled I-beam) by Jahan Foulad Gharb took place at the Governorate General of Kermanshah Province.
This ceremony was held at the meeting hall of the Standards Organization, Kermanshah Province, with the presence of Dr. Hosseini Kia, a member of the Industries and Mines Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament), Dr. Darabi, The general manager of Samat, Dr. Ahmadi, the President of Razi University, Engineer Shokri, the head of the Samat House, Dr. Hadidi, the head of the University Jihad, and Dr. Hosseinpour, the Director General of the Standards Organization of Kermanshah Province
The CEO of Jahan Foulad Gharb stated in this meeting: “The appearance of the IPN beam resembles the letter ‘I’ with sloping flanges, such that the thickness of the flanges is thin at the beginning and gradually becomes thicker towards the end, near the web of the beam. Essentially, in beams produced according to the IPN standard, the thickness of the flanges is not uniform throughout; it starts thin and gradually increases with a gentle slope near the web.”
He added: “The primary applications of this type of beam are in shipbuilding, bridges, telecommunications structures, and dam construction. After the Isfahan Steel Mill, Jahan Foulad Gharb is among the first private sector factories to produce this type of beam in sizes 12 and 14 according to the latest standards and export them to Turkey
