Jahandar Shokri, representing Bisotoun Steel Complex (Kermanshah), has been elected as a member of the Board of Directors of the Iranian Steel Association.
The election took place during the general assembly held on Thursday at Homa Hotel in Tehran. Engineer Jahandar Shokri received a majority of votes from member companies of the association and was selected as one of the seven board members.
Mr. Shokri’s election to the board of the Iranian Steel Association comes at a time when participants in these elections included prominent and experienced steel companies in Iran.
Shokri Industrial Group, with its operation of four factories in the steel industry including iron smelting, rebar rolling, I-beam production, and industrial machinery manufacturing, has become one of the most successful steel conglomerates in Iran.
The Iranian Steel Producers Association is the most significant non-governmental organization in the steel industry, encompassing all steel-producing companies in the sector.
