Jahan Foulad Gharb University of Applied Science and Technology Invites Students to Participate in Region 5 University Sports Championships

The Jahan Foulad Gharb University of Applied Science and Technology invites all students with an interest in sports to participate in the Region 5 University Sports Championships, hosted by Razi University of Kermanshah. The event brings together students from universities and higher education institutions across Region 5 of the country.
The championships will be held in separate men’s and women’s divisions and will feature a wide range of sporting disciplines, including Taekwondo, Karate, Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling, Traditional Zurkhaneh Sports, Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess, Swimming, and Track and Field.
According to the schedule announced by the Region 5 University Sports Secretariat, the women’s competitions will take place on July 18, 2026, while the men’s competitions are scheduled for July 19, 2026. Team registration and check-in will be conducted in the morning, with participants departing on the same day following the conclusion of the events.
The championships will be held at Razi University of Kermanshah, located in the Taq-e Bostan district, at the Student Affairs Building.
Students of the Jahan Foulad Gharb University of Applied Science and Technology who wish to participate are requested to register and obtain further information by notifying the University’s Academic Affairs Office of their interest no later than June 26, 2026.
