In 1400, the proud platforms of the province’s export sector were given to the Shukri Industrial Factories Group.
In the ceremony honoring exemplary exporters of 1400 in Kermanshah Province, which took place on the fifth of Tir month(June/July) at the Kermanshah Chamber of Commerce with the presence of the governor and other provincial officials, two entities from Shokri Industrial Group, Jahan Foulad Gharb and Sima Foulad Jahan, were recognized as exemplary exporters.
These two entities achieved this distinction despite various challenges faced by the province’s industries in the past year, including sudden changes in export regulations, power and gas interruptions, and increases in energy carriers’ prices.
Jahan Foulad Gharb successfully exported around 40,000 tons of products in 1400 to its export destinations including Iraq, Afghanistan, Southeast Asian countries, and countries in the Persian Gulf region. Similarly, Sima Foulad Jahan exported 40,000 tons of various types of rebar to its target markets in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Middle Eastern countries during this period, earning the title of exemplary exporter of 1400 for Kermanshah Province.
Jahan Foulad Gharb is the first factory established within the Shokri Industrial Group, receiving its operational license in 1387 on a 60-hectare plot of land. According to the CEO of Jahan Foulad Gharb, the facility has a nominal capacity of 300,000 tons per year and produces various steel sections including I-beams, angles, and channels. Equipped with state-of-the-art hot rolling technology, the plant has achieved top standards and quality in its products over the years of operation.
Mostafa Ahmadi Pour stated: The prevailing approach of the managers in this organization is development-oriented, focusing on issues such as continuous training of employees, adhering to environmental standards, leveraging modern technology, and conducting continuous research activities as top priorities. He elaborated on the most significant obstacles facing production and exports in the country: Unfortunately, the issuance of impromptu directives without consultation with producers and the private sector has had significant negative impacts.
Ahmadi Pour believes these conditions have allowed foreign competitors, who are waiting for the slightest opportunity and our negligence, to capture many of our markets. He also emphasized our expectation from the country’s officials for stability in export policies and managerial decision-making in the field of exports.
Experts argue that exports support production and guarantee sustainable employment. Therefore, governments need to continuously monitor and strive to eliminate these barriers to foster economic growth driven by exports in the country.
