According to the Public Relations Department of Shokri Industrial Group, and as part of ongoing efforts to enhance students’ academic knowledge and provide practical exposure to industrial environments, an educational field visit to the production line of Jahan Foulad Gharb—part of Shokri Industrial Group—was organized on Tuesday, May 12. The visit was attended by students of the Jahan Foulad Gharb Applied Science and Technology Center, enrolled in the Associate Degree program in Occupational Safety and Technical Protection as well as the Bachelor of Engineering Technology in HSE.
The program aimed to bridge theoretical learning with real-world industrial practice, offering students firsthand insight into production processes and workplace safety standards within a leading industrial setting.
The primary objective of this visit was to establish an effective connection between theoretical concepts taught in the classroom and real-world industrial processes, particularly in the fields of production, occupational safety, technical protection, and industrial process management.
During the program, students were introduced to the overall structure of the steel production facility and observed the manufacturing process firsthand. They gained practical insight into the various stages of production and became familiar with on-site safety requirements, industrial equipment, machinery, and their operational functions in actual industrial environment.
This academic field visit also provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen students’ professional outlook toward real-world working environments and to deepen their understanding of the requirements for effective engagement in industry. It contributed to enhancing their awareness of workplace expectations, professional responsibilities, and the practical competencies needed for successful career development in industrial sectors.
Internship training is considered one of the most essential components of education at the University of Applied Science and Technology, as the institution places a strong emphasis on skills development, practical learning, and workforce readiness.

In line with its educational mission, the Jahan Foulad Gharb Applied Science and Technology Center has taken concrete steps to support the realization of this important objective. The center has not only facilitated internship and experiential learning opportunities for its own students but has also extended its industrial visit facilities to students from other universities and academic associations.
This initiative reflects the center’s commitment to strengthening industry–academia collaboration and providing broader access to practical learning environments that enhance students’ professional skills and career readiness.
