According to the Public Relations Department of Shokri Industrial Group, the meeting of the Research and Technology Council of the University of Applied Science and Technology of Kermanshah Province was held on Tuesday, July 21, with the participation of a number of academic, industrial, and research officials in the conference hall of this university.
In this meeting, Dr. Shafiee, President of the University of Applied Science and Technology of Iran, Dr. Azadi, Head of the Kermanshah Science and Technology Park, the Executive Director of the Provincial Management and Planning Organization, the Acting Head of the Jahan Foulad Gharb Applied Science Center, and other council members were present.
Dr. Shafiee, in his speech, emphasized the mission of the University of Applied Science and Technology in effectively connecting the education system with the structures of production and industry, stating: “Our goal is to train skilled, entrepreneurial human resources aligned with the real needs of the labor market.” Referring to the successful organization of several startup events at the Jahan Foulad Gharb Applied Science Center, he considered these efforts as a successful example of the university’s role in the economic development of the province, adding: “The ideas presented in these events have been practical, innovative, and with acceptable outcomes.”
In the continuation of the meeting, the proposed themes of the fourth startup event of the Jahan Foulad Gharb Applied Science Center, including its target audience, executive structure, and potential sponsors, were reviewed and discussed among the members. Furthermore, the process of organizing upcoming events at the Imam Reza (AS) Applied Science Center and the Industrial Management Organization was evaluated, and strategies for improving the quality of these programs were presented.
The review of the latest actions of innovation centers, the analysis of the outcomes of past events, and the process of identifying and introducing new ideas to the Science and Technology Park were among the other key topics of this meeting—topics that herald the expansion of constructive interaction between scientific centers and the technology and industry ecosystem in Kermanshah Province.
