In a rare move and a breakthrough in the country’s steel industry, Jahan Foulad Gharb Company (Shokri Industrial Group) has, for the first time in Iran, successfully brought H-Beam Size 10 into mass production by relying on domestic capabilities and technical modifications in its production lines. This strategic product, which had previously been supplied through imports, is now available domestically with higher quality and more affordable pricing thanks to the efforts of local experts. This achievement not only reduces foreign currency outflow but also marks an effective step toward industrial self-sufficiency and strengthening the country’s infrastructure.
Mr. Mostafa Ahmadipour, CEO of Jahan Foulad Gharb Complex (Kermanshah), referring to the challenges arising from energy imbalances and production restrictions in the summer of 2025, stated: “At a time when energy supply has become one of the main obstacles to production, our strategy is to focus on producing high value-added sections and optimizing energy consumption. The H-beam is one such product that has now been manufactured in Size 10, and the production of other sizes is also on our development agenda.”
Due to its higher strength, lighter structural weight, and optimized steel consumption, the H-beam is widely used in construction, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The managers of Shokri Industrial Group also emphasized the need to promote awareness in structural design and to shift engineering patterns from traditional IPE sections to H-sections.This achievement has been realized in line with Shokri Industrial Group’s annual slogan, “One Product Each Season,” and heralds a bright future in developing specialized products, increasing domestic market share, and expanding exports of Iranian steel to the region.
