Mehdi AbdolMohammadi, Head of the Heavy Machining Unit at Jahan Foulad Gharb, who has been working at Shokri Industrial Group since 2019, successfully reactivated the fire saw blade sharpening machine by relying on his technical knowledge and field experience\u2014a process that had previously been fully outsourced to external companies.<\/p>\n
The specialized fire saw blade sharpening process consists of five key stages:
\nComprehensive inspection of the blade for cracks, dullness, or physical damage
\nPrecise adjustment of tooth angles according to the type of saw and the material being cut
\nCorrection of bends and geometric straightening of teeth
\nAccurate sharpening of cutting edges using an industrial stone or file
\nFinal inspection and application of finishing adjustments<\/p>\n
This process increases tool lifespan, reduces machine strain, improves cutting precision and quality, and decreases production line downtime.<\/p>\n
At Jahan Foulad Gharb, two types of fire saw blades are used:<\/p>\n
\u2713 Cold-Cutting: Suitable for cutting low-heat materials with light alloy structures<\/p>\n
\u2713 Hot-Cutting: Designed for cutting high-temperature materials requiring stronger alloys<\/p>\n
Signs indicating the need for re-sharpening include reduced cutting speed and accuracy, increased blade temperature, abnormal chip formation, and tooth-edge fractures.<\/p>\n
